"God stir the soil
Run the ploughshare deep,
Cut the furrows round and round,
Overturn the hard, dry ground,
Spare not strength nor toil,
Even though I weep.
In the loose, fresh mangled earth
Sow new seed.
Free of withered vine and weed
Bring fair flowers to birth."

Did you write this, Megan? This is very touching.

Oh no! I could never write something like this!
It's a prayer from the Singapore Church Missionary Society (?).

What does it make you think of?

Hmm, well, as a farmer I understand hard ground - and see several dear ones close to me who are also hard of heart. Will my prayers never be answered, or will I witness God's power in changing their very lives?
